Cancellation Policies

Formal events may only be cancelled by written notification to STEM Kitchen & Garden. If the client and/or company cancels after STEM Kitchen & Garden has received the signed contract, the client will be charged 50% of the food and beverage minimum. If the client and/or company cancels the event 7 days or less prior to the event STEM Kitchen and Garden will charge 100% of the food and beverage minimum.

For events requiring STEM Kitchen & Garden to be closed to the general public, cancellations within 30 days of the date of the event will forfeit the full deposit. Cancellations within 14 days will forfeit the full amount of the food and beverage minimum.

Impromptu events may cancel up to 7 days prior without penalty. Cancellations within 2 days prior to the date of the event will forfeit the pre-ordered food cost.


Deposits

A 50% deposit of the quoted food and beverage minimum is required for all events priced over $1,000.


Outside Beverage Policies

Outside wine is only allowed for seated lunches or dinner events. Our corkage fee is $25 per bottle for all outside wine. No outside beer or hard alcohol is allowed for reception events.


Weather and Outdoor Events

The lower garden plaza is not covered or heated, so we are very affected by the weather in our outdoor location. Groups wanting to host events outside are advised to alert their guests to bring warm clothing. We often book multiple parties in the garden plaza and inside our bar and lounge space. If a group is booked outside and wants to move inside we are only able to accommodate if the bar/lounge section is not booked by another party. Space for the bar/lounge is limited to 40 guests standing so very large events may not be able to relocate if the weather is inclement. 


Outside Dessert Fee

A $2 per-person fee will be charged for all outside desserts not provided by STEM Kitchen & Garden.


Outside Vendor Policies

No outside music is allowed unless groups are hosting a full buyout of STEM. Certificate of insurance is required for all outside vendors. See the attached requirements for all outside vendors.


Decorations

No open flame, no glitter, no confetti. Balloons, pictures/signs, banners, and flowers are permitted. We ask all groups planning on bringing in decorations to alert the event team for final approval.


Dietary Restrictions

We gladly work with many dietary restrictions and preferences including vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, dairy free, and common allergens.  


Children

Children are welcome at STEM, but the restaurant is open to the public and is located in an office building, so adult supervision is requested when bringing children.


Dogs

Dogs are welcome at STEM. They must remain on leash at all times and be attended by their owners.


Activities

All activities are first come first serve. We have a bocce court, two corn hole sets, and fire pits. There is no charge for use of the amenities at STEM.


Conference Room AV

High-definition projectors, drop-down screens, microphones, teleconferencing service are all available in the room normally and are free of charge.  Additional AV service may be rented by the client for use in the rooms.


Credit Cards

A maximum of 4 credit cards may be used for payment on all events.
